Children’s’ Church and Little Lambs – 8:30 am Sunday 2 February
Children’s Church & Little Lambs start again this coming Sunday. The children will go out to class during the 8.30am service.
Confirmation Information – Sunday 2 February 5-6 pm
This is for all current and new students for 2020 (born in 2007). If I have missed inviting you and your child/grandchild to this it will be because I don’t have their birth date on record. You are more than welcome to attend. This evening will give parents and students a chance to meet and learn what is expected of the class, as well as give an idea of the lessons for the year ahead. The confirmation class will begin the following week on Friday 7 February at 5.30pm
Church Picnic – Sunday 23 February 11am
At Charles Paterson Park, Burswood (same place as last year) beginning at 11am. There will only be the one worship service at 8.30am that day, so that everyone has the opportunity to go to the picnic. Its BYO meat, plus a salad &/or cake to share, chairs, picnic rug etc. There’ll be games for adults & kids. Mark the date in your diary and come along, as it’s a great venue and a fantastic day of fellowship.
Carols in the Courtyard 2019
What a success, thanks to Western Australian walkers and volunteers more than $20,000 was raised from the 25km walk. These funds will be used to provide education for children in refugee camps. THANK YOU!
ADVENT – Preparing for CHRISTMAS
LCA National Synod
What is Synod? Every three years delegates from districts meet at a General Convention of Synod to make decisions about the direction of the Lutheran Church of Australia. Synod is the highest decision-making body of our church. This year the 400-plus delegates who met in Sydney for the 19th General Convention of Synod (together with about 100 volunteers, exhibitors, visitors and staff) made some significant decisions on our behalf. This Popular Report gives you only a snapshot of those decisions; you should visit the Synod website or ask our Pastors or delegate Monica Bodenstaff if you’d like more information. 2018 General Convention Popular Report.
