Carols Evening  - 5:30-8pm, Saturday Dec 16th

Join us in the courtyard for an evening of Christmas favourite carols. Please bring comfy chairs or picnic blanket and a picnic dinner. There will be candles and popcorn available for a gold coin donation. You are invited to bring a gift for a refugee child. These gifts will then be given to the Red Cross for distribution. NOTE Red Cross asks that nothing of a religious nature or toy guns be giventrees

  • Blessing of the Nativity bring your Nativity Scenes to the 8.30am and 10.10am Worship Services, to share with the congregation and to bless as we prepare for Christmas

2016 Highlights

Christmas Tree Festival

The Christmas Tree Festival was a bonanza of festivities in 2016, featuring a nativity for photo opportunities, Community Carol singing and Christmas Music Events, as well as a Wine and Cheese Tasting and Craft sessioins, it really was fun for all the family. Along with many of the trees from the inaugral display in 2015 this year there were a number of new trees, including a “Shoe Tree” and the “AA” tree.

Dedication of the Courtyard Mural

Sunday 18 December at 9.45am Pastor Greg dedicated the new mural which features images from our beautiful stained glass windows, as well as native birds, animals and plants. The artist, Annette Petersen, and her family were present as she spoke about her inspiration from God to create the mural. Annette also painted the Lutheran Rose, which was paid for by funds raised by WEGS – the Wednesday Evening Group. Annette has created a about the mural on her page.


2015 Highlights

Christmas at St Johns

The 2015 Christmas season featured a Christmas Tree Display, Cinderella pantomime and a Star Wars themed Nativity play, as well as services in German, English, Norwegian and Chinese.

Opening of St Johns Court

St Johns Court was opened on 1st March 2015. The new facility provides expanded space for St Johns congregation and the WA District office,  including:

  • Hall for gatherings and worship
  • Reception and lounge area
  • Pastor’s offices and counselling space
  • Children’s church rooms
  • Youth zone
  • Kitchen

The building also features showers, change rooms and underground parking.
